The show will be presented by Planetarian, Omega SmithThe aurora are running wild in the Land of the Midnight Sun! Above Alaska takes you to the remote forests and mountains of the Great Land to experience a night under the northern lights. Shot in vivid high-resolution 4k fulldome format, the show features some of the best aurora displays from the last two years as filmed from different locations throughout the state. You'll see and experience the aurora the same way as Alaskans do, but without the frostbite!
After the film, Omega Smith will do a live tour of the nights sky and speak briefly about the Aurora forecast.
Ticket reservations are available online only. Remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the door on the day of the show. The planetarium will open for seating 30 minutes before the start of each show. You must be in the theater 10 minutes before the show starts. Reserved seats will be released after this time to stand-by customers. There is no entry after the show begins.
